Being Here Matters Town Hall Opener

Most town halls are designed to distribute information. This one was designed to create recognition.

Built around the idea that presence itself has meaning, the opener transformed a routine corporate livestream into a shared cultural moment. Real employees completed the phrase Being Here Matters in ways that moved fluidly between sincere, funny, and deeply human; creating a portrait of organizational culture that felt recognizable instead of staged.

The opener was designed to shape the emotional temperature of the room before a single leader spoke. Instead of beginning with logistics and corporate language, the film centered employees themselves; reminding people why they were there, who they were there for, and what connected them to one another. No performances. No scripts. Just real people holding words that meant something to them. The work moved intentionally between sincerity and humor, allowing the culture to feel human instead of polished into abstraction. What began as a livestream opener became something larger: an honest portrait of the organization and the people inside it.

The film later expanded beyond the event itself into recruiting and culture storytelling, earning Hermes, MarCom Platinum, and Ragan Communications awards.

It was made for one moment. It ended up being the truest portrait of the culture.
